pyran derivatives pyran derivatives R 0340 42 -143 1-Alkyl-3,4-dihydro-thienopyran Acids and 1-Alkyl-3,4-dihydrobenzo[b]thienopyran Acids. -Ring closure of thienylethanols (I) and (IV) as well as their benzo analogues (VI) and (VIII) is achieved with oxo esters (II). The best results are obtained with 48% BF 3 โ€ขEt 2 O. Besides BF 3 โ€ขEt 2 O, HCl and TosOH are acceptable reagents. No antiphlogistic effects are observed. -
