Chemical pumps give longer seal life
A range of single stage centrifu-_._--gal end 3iiction chemical p)u1,1ps -designed to DIN/IS0 5199 specication -has been introduced by SIHI Pumps, UK.
The standard DIN/IS0 5199 recognises that the majority of unplanned downtime for pumps in chemical plants is due to failure of the shaft seal, and, that static deflection of the shaft by radial hydraulic forces plays a large part in causing n....L +L;,..rrrn TC ?? The SIHI Ryax CBSB has therefore beendesigned to minimise both the tilting and deflection of the shaft, thereby giving longer seal life, less risk of breakdown and reduced rlr~Xm+imn fr.7 m'x;rl+o"~"r.o
