CADWALLADER~ 'Both Purdy's 1931 and 1937 papers were based on his Harvard dissertation (46, p. 315) which was carried out in Troland's laboratory. Troland gave Purdy's data wide circulation (52, 53, 54). 8Purdy (46) corrected his values cited in Ref. 45.
