✦ Synopsis

We present transverse momentum distributions of charged hadrons prodwed in Au+Au collisions at ,/.snynr = 200 C&V. The evolution of thp spectra. for tranwerse rnomenta~ pi from 0.25 to 5 &V/C is studied a,s a functian of co&&m centrality. We find a significant change of the spectral shape between proton-antiproton and peripheral Au+Au collisions. Wren comparing peripheral to central Au+Au collitions, pie find that the yields at the highest PT exhibit approximate sca&ng with the nurnl~r of participating nucleons, r&her than sealing with the nunrbrr of binary cjollisions.
