## Abstract The ESR spectrum of iron doped V~2~O~5~ single crystals shows two different line groups. Analysis of the angular dependence and intensity measurements prove that, contrary to Cr^3+^ ions, Fe^3+^ ions occupy lattice sites and tetrahedral sites as well. This is in agreement with published
