The surface of PVDF film was selectively modified by wet chemistry. Treatment with aqueous LiOH produced HF-elimination and the emergence of an oxygencontaining functionality. The XPS analysis clearly indicated the presence of ketone-, ether(epoxide)-, and alcohol motifs. The percentage of alcohols

β¦ Synopsis
The surface charge of poly(viny1idene fluoride) films, which were magnetically treated a t different temperatures, was measured using a n improved method described by SESSLER. Changes of the charge densities a t both surfaces of the sample were studied in dependence on the magnetic field strength, temperature and poling time.
