โฆ Synopsis
Pulsed photoconduction
measurements are made with anthracene crystals heavily doped with 2.3dimethyInaphthaIene (DMN). This system forms a solid solution in a fairly wide concentration range. In these crystals charge carrier transport is thought to occur through anthracene sites. It is found that DhlN doping (~1%) makes the carrier transport insensitive to deep traps, which are present in neat anthracene crystals. This is accounted for in terms of random walks of the carriers in a lattice v. hich contains antirraps. With higher levels of doping, carriers exhibit a dispersive behavior which we believe is the first observation of a dispersive transport in a crystalline lattice.
