Fluorescence quenching by an electric field has been studied in cyclohexane solutions excited by photons in the energy range 7-10 eV. The threshold for internal photoionization of cyclohexane is found to be 8.45 eV. At 10.16 eV excitation energy, the ionization quantum yield is found to be +, = 0.33, and the Gaussian distribution of the electron's range has a characteristic radius of 62 A.
