โฆ Synopsis
Lipopolysaccharide was isolated from Pasteurella haemolyticu biotype A, serotype 1 by using the phenol-water extraction procedure. Hydrolysis with mild acid afforded a high-molecular-weight antigenie O-chain. On the basis of 1D and 2D NMR spectral studies and microanalytical chemical methods, the 0-polysaccharide was determined to be a linear polymer of a trisaccharide repeating unit having the structure --f 3)-P-o-Galp-(I + 3).P-o-GalpNAc-(1 + 4)-P-o-Galp-(I * This 0-polysaccharide antigen is expressed by several P. haemolytica biotype A serotypes.
