✦ Synopsis

Synthetic peptide substrates for the cell division cycle regulated protein kinase, ~34'~'', have been developed and characterized. These peptides are based on the sequences of two known substrates of the enzyme, Simian Virus 40 Large T antigen and the human cellular recessive oncogene product, p53.

We have recently determined that -Ile-Tyr- were the two critical residues as a peptide substrate for p60c-src protein tyrosine kinase (Lou, Q. et al., Lett. Peptide Sci., 1995, 2, 289). Here, we report on the design and synthesis of a secondary 'one-bead, one-compound' combinatorial peptide library

The recently described synthesis of ferric adsorbent paper has made possible the modification of protein kinase assays. The adsorbent contains ferric chelate groups, which are responsible for the binding of phosphopeptide via phosphate group. The selective adsorption of phosphopeptide contra nonphos

## Abstract The anti‐apoptosis protein, survivin, promotes cell survival and mitosis. Recent studies have demonstrated that survivin is expressed in normal gastric mucosa. Using an in vitro model, we examined whether survivin plays a role in the cytoprotection produced in gastric mucosa by mild irr
