systems are of interest from a viewpoint of the Second Harmonic Generation (SHG). Ba 5 Al 4 B 12 O 29 and Ba 5 Ga 4 B 12 O 29 are promising new crystals with SHG activity and with congruent melting mode. These crystals can be grown by the Czochralski method with a size of 3 x 3 x 0.1-1mm.
