✦ Synopsis

An iodine transport hydrothermal route has been developed to prepare PbSnS 3 nanorods at 2003C for the 5rst time. X-ray powder di4raction and transmission electron microscopy results show the as-synthesized PbSnS 3 displays rod-like morphology with diameters of 50+60 nm and lengths of up to a few micrometers. The as-prepared PbSnS 3 nanorods is also investigated by Raman spectra. The various factors in6uencing the formation of the PbSnS 3 nanorods were discussed.
