Jlausc Kp and spleen cell conditioned medium Anemic mouse serum was prepared as described by Tamhourin et al. 11973). Mice were X-irradiated (600 Radsi. injected intraperitoneally with 60 mgkg of phenylhydrazine on the following day, and bled on the tenth day, by which time their hematocrit had decreased to 10-25'2. The serum, which contained 10-30 U Ep/ml, was filter-sterilized and stored at -20Β°C.
Spleen cell conditioned medium was harvested from secondary mixed lymphocyte cultures (Ryser et al., 1978).
