Colloidal suspensions of Na, K, Rb, and Cs have been prepared in diethyl ether. The visible extinction spectra of each are compared with results of theoretical Mie-scattering spectra, calculated using a variety of optical constant data sets. Comparison of the experimental extinction spectra to the t

Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) spectra of bilirubin-metal ion (Cu2+, Co2+, Zn2+, Cd2+) complexes (MBR) are reported. These spectra reveal significant differences between MBR and bilirubin (BR) itself. But SERS spectra of bilirubin-Cu2+, Co2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ complexes are similar to each other.
## Abstract Fourier‐transform infrared (FT‐IR), Raman (RS), and surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra of __β__‐hydroxy‐__β__‐methylobutanoic acid (HMB), L‐carnitine, and __N__‐methylglycocyamine (creatine) have been measured. The SERS spectra have been taken from species adsorbed on a co
