✦ Synopsis
A new epimeric lupane triterpenoid, 3a-hydroxy-20-oxo-30-norlupane (1), and a new flavanone (nubatin; 3) have been isolated from Salvia nubicola collected from Quetta, Pakistan. The structures of these constituents were elucidated with the aid of spectroscopic techniques, including two-dimensional NMR and NOE experiments. Both the metabolites were found to be moderately bio-active.
