โฆ Synopsis
The pressure drop and transient heat transfer in horizontal two-phase helium flow in channels of different cross-sections have been investigated experimentally and theoretically. The calculation models and empirical relationships are proposed. The practical application of the obtained flow patterns, void fraction, pressure drop and heat transfer characteristics are presented as an example for optimizing the superconducting magnets of the UNK accelerator.

Pressure drop and transient heat transport measurements had been performed in the superfluid helium test loop at CEA/CEN-Grenoble, France. Single phase helium II was circulated through a 28 mm I.D. tube, over a length of 200 m for mass flow rates between 0.02 and 0.1 kg/s. Steady-state pressure drop
The paper gives the basic results of experimental investigation of hydrodynamics and heat transfer in heat-absorbing devices of the ITER thermonuclear reactor, which are subjected to one-side heating. The entire array of experimental data is obtained in the following range of parameters of water flo
