## Abstract ## Background Antibiotics alter the microbial balance within the gastrointestinal tract. Probiotics may prevent antibiotic‐associated diarrhea (AAD) via restoration of the gut microflora. Antibiotics are prescribed frequently in children and AAD is common in this population. ## Object
