The total crude fat on dry basis of almond tegurnet was about 1 1 '%I by weight. Chemical and physical characteristics of this oil were determined.
The content of unsapoiiifiable matter, 3.75 I%, was high. The percentage of saturated acids was 10.32 lJk~.The highcontent of essential fattyacids,l0.3l'%1 oflinoleic and 1.2X"hioflinalenic shouldbepointedout.Experimentalresults corresponding to tegument and kernel oils were compared. Gas chromdtogriphic retention indices of fatty acids methyl esters on Carbowax 20-M, DEGS and SE-90 were detrrniined with analitical purposes.
