✦ Synopsis

A series of experimental researches on unsteady heat transfer between gas and solids have been made i.tt an adiabatic bed, used in a new plant of cryogenic recycling of tired tyre. The gas--solids temnernture profiles with different bed length levels and a wide rangeof Reynold'snumbets are presented, and from which a Nu--Re correlauuu J~ uu~mned. Based on the results, a new mathematical model is proposed. It would be clear that the model as well as the experimental results are useful for both theoretical research on unsteady heat transfer and design of cryogenic recycling plant.
