To make the material of the Institute available to all those interested in the subject, a volume has been prepared with the complete record of the presentations (Petrakis, L. and Fraissard, J., Eds, 'Magnetic Resonance: Introduction, Advanced Topics and Applications to Fossil Energy ', Dordrecht, 1984,807 pp.). The volume is addressed both to research workers in the area of magnetic resonance and to those who are using or would like to utilize the techniques for solving problems in fossil energy. In addition, it could serve as a textbook for a graduate course, and it should be of use to those who manage and/or fund research.
