This paper is a contribution to the basic philosophy of the stochasticity-chaos relation, inasmuch as chaos means unpredictability of the evolution, and any stochastic noise, in turn, means random vibrations, that is, another unpredictability. So it is reasonable to seek relations between the key parameters at the onset of chaos for the 'pure' system, and the corresponding mean values in the stochastic environment.
In other words, the question arises at to whether chaos is 'likely to be expected'.
Furthermore, some new ideas related to fuzzy set theory are discussed.

By making use of a parametric adaptive control, it is possible to synchronize, desynchronize or resynchronize a network of globally coupled chaotic oscillators in the presence of large noise. The method, based on the Kalman filter, is applied to logistic and H6non map lattices. This method can be re
