We have proposed a novel configuration of erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) which realizes both a flat spectral gain and high output power for analog transmission. This EDFA uses hybrid EDF which consists of serially cascaded EDFs with different glass compositions, based on the fact that EDFs with
