I wanted to take the opportunity of my first editorial to bring to your attention a few of the changes recently implemented for the Journal of Food Composition and Analysis. The significant changes relate to people, circulation, affiliation, and scope.
People
Kent and Peggy Stewart are taking leave from their roles as Editor and Assistant Editor. It was their hard work for approximately 14 years that brought this journal from nonexistence to its present status of the preeminent journal in this important area of research. Dr. Stewart's stamp on the journal is indelible, and his continuing involvement through the Editorial Board will be invaluable.
Thank you to the old Editorial Board members; I am grateful for your continuation. Welcome to the new Editorial Board members: John Lupien, Director of FAO's Food and Nutrition and Division, who will bring his expertise in the area of international food composition linked with policy, regulation, and food safety; and John Klensin, who brings his expertise in information sciences and systems.
