The stimulus responsible for inducing hepatocytes to enter the cell cycle following partial hepatectomy (PHx) remains to be identified. One suggested candidate is the change in hepatocyte membrane potential (PD) that occurs immediately following PHx. To test this possibility, we monitored changes in
