## Abstract On the outskirts of Zaria, northern Nigeria, __Eucalyptus camaldulensis__ and __Pinus oocarpa__ plantations have been established to satisfy both land rehabilitation and agroindustrial objectives. Soils of the plantations and adjacent unafforested degraded sites where major influences f
