## Abstract Twoโ€cell mouse conceptuses were cultured in media that contained various concentrations of inorganic ions and amino acids. Substrates of the amino acid transport system Gly were detrimental to development at slightly hyposmotic concentrations of other ions. In contrast, these amino acid
