To construct the phase diagram of a saturated fluid, it is necessary to have, on the one hand, a set of temperature data for the vapour pressure and for the vapour and liquid densities and, on the other, thermodynamic relations in the form of equations and inequalities interrelating relevant paramet

โฆ Synopsis
The existence of maxima of certain products of thermodynamic properties along the liquid-vapour co-existence line is brought out. These maxima occur at specific reduced temperatures independent of the nature of the liquid. The behaviour of saturatedvapour enthalpy is analyzed in detail. A relation between the temperature at which this property depicts a maximum and the molecular length parameter is derived considering over 40 cryogenic liquids, hydrocarbons and refrigerants.
