A new semi-continuous process has been developed for the synthesis of Cr20, powders starting with Cr(III) acetylacetonate or acetate hydroxide dissolved in methanol. The precursor is first decomposed in the solvent under superc&ical state (T = 325 to 450 'C, P = 10 MPa) aud the formed solid is dried
