Chun-Hua Yan and co-workers have synthesized homogeneously dispersed CeO 2 nanocrystals which are stably confi ned by ordered mesoporous Al 2 O 3 . The composite possesses a high thermal stability. The catalyst prepared by loading Au on the composite achieves a 100% conversion for the CO oxidation at room temperature.
