Ceres de José Miguel Martínez intercala distintos relatos para crear un gran arco sobre la vida en ese planeta lejano que la humanidad colonizó desde el comienzo del tercer milenio, entregándonos su patética historia alrededor del Cinturón de Asteroides, donde queda preguntar cuál fue su destino.
Con carácter experimentador y delirante, explorando diversos tonos y atmósferas de la ciencia ficción, el autor resuelve una crítica a diferentes síntomas de nuestra sociedad, proyectando un futuro aún más complejo frente a temas como la tecnología, la ecología o la decadencia moral; pero también alcanza el horizonte más íntimo de la vinculación afectiva o el extrañamiento ante a uno mismo. En Ceres el autor rescata uno de los aspectos más elementales de la ciencia ficción: sin importar cuán lejos creamos llegar, siempre nos encontraremos con la misma naturaleza anhelante.
