β¦ Synopsis
A sinple model is proposed for molecular dissociation probabilities in impulsive cotlisions with surf&cs.
Dissociation is assumed to foliow rotational excitation high enough to break the molecule.
The model WIS tested against exact classical simulations for 12, Liz colliding with smooth surfaces. Agreement is better than a factor of 7, over a wide range of energies.
