A Ki-1/CD30 lymphoma is extremely rare, in con-lymph node biopsy was compatible with Ki-1/ trast to the frequent involvement in other types CD30 anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL). of pediatric non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. No Bone marrow aspirate and biopsy demonstrated mechanism has yet been proposed to explain reactive hyperplasia. Cytogenetic analysis disthe sparing of the blood brain barrier in Ki-1/ played hyperdiploid cells with 1p(Ϫ) in most lymphoma. We present a 2-year-old boy who cells. Cerebrospinal fluid examination showed was admitted to the Department of Pediatric pleocytosis with CD30ϩ cells. Possible mecha-Hemato-Oncology due to lethargy, progressive nisms which could enable CNS involvement in breathing difficulties, massive diffuse lymphade-this unusual case are discussed. Med. Pediatr.
