Thin layers of iron silicides produced by ion implantation were investigated by 57Fe conversion electron Mossbauer spectroscopy and Auger electron spectroscopy. The Mossbauer hyperfine parameters were calculated and compared with results obtained at crystalline layers to determine the phases formed.
