T h e phosphorylation of specific plasma membrane proteins appears to serve a significant role in cellular growth control. We have shown that t w o proteins, p14 and Abbreviations used: CAMP, 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate: SDS, sodium dodecyl sulfate; SS, smooth surface tumorigenesis.
