โฆ Synopsis
Measurement of lineage involvement in AML and MDS may provide clues to the subpopulation origin of genetically-aberrant leukemic cells. We used fluorescence in situ hybridization to measure the frequency of geneticallyaberrant cells in phenotypically-defined hemopoietic subpopulations. Stem, immature and mature subpopulations were discriminated using phenotypic markers, sorted and hybridized with chromosome-specific probes recognizing reoeated nucleic acid semences nr reninnal snprifir D N A nrnhm Thn -VARIABLE FREQUENCY OF CYTOGENETlCALLY ABERRANT CELLS IN HEMOPOlETlC SUBPOPULATlONS IN ACUTE WfELOlD LEUKEMIA (AM!-) AND MYELODYSPLASIA (MDS).
