## Abstract The irradiation effects in KCl doped with Eu^2+^ have been studied by measuring the optical absorption and EPR spectra. Exposure to X‐rays at room temperature and dry ice temperature leads to a decrease in the intensity of the absorption bands and the EPR lines of Eu^2+^. The decrease i
