✦ Synopsis

In the title compound, {[Co(C 8 H 4 O 4 )(C 6 H 12 N 2 )(H 2 O) 2 ]Á-C 3 H 7 NO} n , the Co atom is coordinated by the two N atoms from two 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (dabco) ligands, two O atoms from two isophthalate dianions and two water molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. The dabco molecules function as 2 -bridging ligands, forming polymeric linear chains running along the c axis. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds.
