✦ Synopsis
The effect of mO* promoter on VaOb/Ti02 catalysts for aelective catalytic reduction (SCR) of nitric oxide wars examined. Catalyst characterlxation was carried out by means of BET surface area measurement, temperature-programmed deeorption, infrared epe&oecopy and X-ray diffraction. A modified NO-NH, rectangular pulse (NARP) technique was introduced to measure the number of active eiti on the catalyst surface. It was found that both the active sites and the acid sites increase with the content of Nb206 due to the increase in BET surface area. The activities of the SCR reaction and the ammonia oxidation are enhanced by the WO, promoter in the lower and higher temperature ranges, respectively.
