✦ Synopsis

Complete oxidation of solvents (e.g., acetone, butyl acetate and lsopropanot) over base metal oxides was investigated using a fixed bed reactor. Mixed oxides with perovskite (e.g. LaMnO 3) or spinel structure (e.g. CuMn204) have been prepared and characterized by BET surface area measurements and X-ray diffraction. The influence of catalyst type and composition, reaction temperature and feed composition on the formation of CO 2 and partially oxidized intermediates has been examined.

## Background Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are the major components in air pollutants, which are organic compounds with the boiling points in the range of 50-260 8C at room temperature and atmospheric pressure of 133.322 Pa. VOC pollutants can come from indoor and outdoor sources. Indoor VOCs

The influence of catalyst type, solvent, and acid/base modifiers on the catalytic debenzylation of 4-chloro-N,N-dibenzyl aniline with Pd/C and H, was studied. Under the reaction conditions investigated, the catalyst-type had no significant effect. Solvents: In neutral apolar solvents, the over-all r
