ALtstract-Analytical solutions are presented for the catalyst distribution that results when the imprepnated catalyst is dried rapidly immediately after soaking. Also presented are approximate solutions for the distribution when enough time is allowed for equilibration. A relationship for a conservative estimate of the time required for uniform distribution is given. The results are applicable. to one-dimensional slab-like, cylindrical, and spherical pellets and also to both immersion and dry impregnation (impregnation to incipient wetnessj methods
