Evurn prepares for the end. With their Captain gone, the crew looks to him.

The oceans are dying and the sky burns as Misla looms over The North. But Rungar, the Rusis who fought against the City-Island Aieclo, has a plan. They must journey West, to a place of the Rusis people before their fall, in search of a weapon of true terror he believes will bring down Misla.

If it even works. If they can even complete the journey itself and as a great disaster is revealed in the shadow of the Keva mountains. What were the Rusis really building there?

Valrin's choice to go to Misla alone confuses Evurn. Rungar's focused path on destroying Misla and saving the thousands of innocent lives at risk is what Valrin would want but what about their Captain? As the navies and monsters of Misla launches their deadly attack, he must trust the Stormborn.
