In 161 cases of gastric cancer with liver metastasis but without peritoneal dissemination, evaluations were executed to find effective treatment. The most favorable results with best prognosis were obtained in the group receiving gastrectomy + hepatectomy + chemotherapy, followed by gastrectomy + ch
