✦ Synopsis

This paper concerns part of an aircraft electrical circuit diagram generation process integration scheme (,4 erospatlale CIRCE scheme), consisting of the automatic generation of wiring diagrams. First, the general automation problems are analysed. The subsequent sections provide a detailed description of the equipment placement modules and connecting routing. These operations are performed using equipment identifier, size and connection data stored in a database. The aigorithm~ on which they are based, take account of constraints that are mainly of an aesthetic nature.
