N SURVEYING OUR MATERIAL ON CARTILAGE
I and chondroid tumors recently, we found 16 instances of such tumors in soft tissues without any concomitant involvement of adjacent bone. Most of the specimens had been submitted for opinion by pathologists who were uncertain whether these tumors were benign or malignant and, collaterally, how they should be treated. Several had developed in synovial or bursa1 structures, notably in From the Pathology Service of the Veterans Administration Hospital, 42d Ave.
