✦ Synopsis
This paper reviews photo-carrier-induced ferromagnetism in the prototypical III-V-based diluted magnetic semiconductor heterostructure p-(In,Mn)As/GaSb, with emphasis on the interplay between nonmagnetic GaSb and magnetic (In,Mn)As layers. Discussions are made as to how and what we pursue to explore the new frontier with this novel material system. Preparation of paramagnetic GaAs:Fe epilayers is also described for the first time.
