We found t h s thermal desorber not to be a rugged, hardy, "turn key" instrument, but rather a dehcate and sensitive instrument, requinng close attention at all times It is suggested that in the future, a single, larger-bore cryogemc trap might be used in the thermal desorber for both the initial samphng cartndge desorption and subsequent injection onto the analytical system, to possibly ehrmnate some of the blockage problems encountered with this dual-trap system
