## Abstract ## Background. The optimal treatment for patients with locally recurrent carcinomas of the salivary glands is unclear. ## Methods. Ninety‐nine patients underwent salvage surgery for locally recurrent salivary gland carcinomas. Eighty‐one (82%) had previously received radiation. Thirt
