Semithin and thin serial sections of rat pancreas were investigated by immunocytochemical techniques using antisera against glucagon and endorphin. The immunocytochemical staining methods revealed that in the rat endocrine pancreas endorphin-like immunoreactivity is contained in glucagon (A-) cells.
