All three solenoids are in a dewar of liquid nitrogen. The helium dewar finger is inside solenoid 3 (the finger is 10 cm long, with inner and outer diameters 3.5 and 5.5 ram) with the specimen mounted at the end of an ivory rod. The end of the rod with the specimen is housed in a thin-walled jacket
