Abstract
The ^13^C NMR shielding effects on proximal carbon atoms caused by oxidation of sulfenyl sulfur to sulfinyl, sulfonyl and sulfonium species are diagnostic indicators and extremely useful in the structural characterization of organosulfur compounds.
